Nikki Webb, and I play on a women's soccer team and Rahul Alim is our AMAZING coach. Earlier this year, we were looking for an assistant coach, because Rahul was about to LOSE IT with how awful our team was, at the time.
One day, on our way to our practice in Simi Valley, Rahul said he had a surprise for us...We ended up pulling off Olsen Rd. and ended up at the police station...There was Mike, in the parking lot, and he piled in!
It certainly was a pleasant surprise!
Unfortunately, for Mike, Rahul wanted to scrimmage the entire practice--all of us girls against Mike and Rahul...the thing was...Mike was wearing flip flops!!! He flung them off and was barefoot playing 2 on 12!! He was really fast and it got the best of him, because he when he went to stop a ball he tripped over his own feet, did a barrel roll, and pulled a muscle...needless to say, he was laying in the middle of the field for quite some time.
Mike never came back to another practice...Not sure if it was the barrel roll, or what, but all of the girls on the team appreciated his desire to want to come out an play with us, (and the barrel roll always made for a good laugh)!! We miss you, Mike Murray...may you rest in peace and wear cleats up there in heaven when the angels want to scrimmage :) --Jayna Rylee XO
Ill never forget the day I met him at a department lake trip..little did I know this was the start of an unforgettable friendship.
From lake trips to vegas trips on what seemed like every weekend with Mike..that boy loved Vegas!Ill never forget the first tattoo he got on his arm at the Palms in Vegas ..he ended up hating that tattoo and well as we all now that turned into a sleeve ..then another sleeve. I remember when he was on night shift at the Main Jail..Id bring him his Starbucks with his espresso brownie ..cant forget the straw with his coffee! Or his Jersey Mikes sandwich.. little did I know when I went to pick up the sandwich he had ordered the whole night shift one..so there I am delivering half the night crew dinner. I had the opportunity to meet Mikes beautiful family ,from babysitting his niece to dog sitting Sandy. And then his childhood friends Nick ,Tony and Collin to name a few..times with these guys where the best!
Mikey was the absolute BEST! Whenever I was in a bad mood (which was quite often) at work, he'd go out of his way to make me laugh and smile. He'd do little things, like dance to a song on the radio with crazy moves (like the "shopping cart" or "the sprinkle")and by the time he was done with his moves, I'd be laughing so hard I was crying! I knew it would be a good night if I was working with him!! He'd listen to me complain about how I'd want to loose more weight and one night caught me almost taking a bite of a grill cheese and SHOUTED across a room "what the hell are you eating! throw that away right now"!! so what did I do?! I picked up my plate, and threw it away! I felt like a kid being scolted! And anyone who knows me, knows I don't tolerate back talk to me, but in that moment he got his way. People were amazed that I let myself be scolted like that! But that was Mikey! Always looking out! I know he's gonna continue to look out for everyone he loved and cared for! I know he's in heaven, holding it down for all of us!It'll be a great party when we see him again!
I wish that I could say all the things that Mike is and what I'll remember the most. But I think that Paul McCartney & John Lennon say it best. So here it goes:
There are places I'll remember all my life Though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these mem'ries lose their meaning When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I'll love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I'll love you more In my life I'll love you more
I'll miss you Pimp Daddy! RIP until we meet again.
"Hello Beautiful" is what I would hear when I would see him on the booking floor. Hearing that would light my day up, and make me smile in a place that isn't always filled with smiles. Now that is the word I will describe him as, BEAUTIFUL...inside and out. What a beautiful smile, what a beautiful person...what a beautiful angel we will have watching over us, taking care of us.
Mike - I’m not going to lie, you’re kind of a big deal. That’s what you told 150 people at Nick and Tiff’s wedding. You created fun wherever you went; you always laughed the loudest and always had a smile on your face. This world lost something very special when it lost you. You will be missed by many. Love, Christina
I think I speak for everyone who's ever known Mike when I say that the smiles, laughs and warmth he brought to everyone in contact with him were contagiously uplifting. His charisma and attitude towards life truly were unparalleled.
What an amazing thing, that everyone knows you for your laughter and charisma, Mike! Memories with you are some of the funniest, most entertaining and heart warming ones I can think of. And who can forget your dance moves! Go Mike! And that smile that lights up a room...
We will miss you everyday. Your life is one that has touched countless hearts. You're one of the best people I've ever known. We will never, ever forget you.
What can I say about Mike Murray except "ladies mike murray is here" everytime he walked into a room with that infectious smile of his............love it... And how he always introduced himself as Mike Murray not just Mike, lol. I have so many memeories of him that I will cherish always. I will always remember him with that big smile on his face and his crazy dance moves! He had a way of making each person that knew him feel so special and loved. He had the biggest kindest heart of anybody I knew. I love him dearly and always will. Everyone who knew Mike should feel blessed that they had a chance to know such a beautiful genuine person inside and out. Mike you are my heart and I will miss you always and forever!!
God must have been in need of an AWESOME ANGEL! Mikey was just that! Such an amazing guy! I have alot of fond memories watching Mikey, Tony & Nick growing up. He was like a little Bro to me. I will truely miss you Mikey!! Love you, Sonya Barbi
Where do I begin. I met Mike at the Main Jail when he was a brand new Deputy. Working with him always made me happy because I knew for 12 hours each shift he was going to keep me laughing. I don't ever think I saw him in a bad mood. He was always happy and love to make people laugh.
On a trip to Vegas, Mike, Jeff DeCesari and I were in a taxi heading to our hotel. While at a stop light, Mike jumped out of the cab, ran in front of it, and took a picture of us sitting in the cab. That was just one of his funniest moments.
Mike, thanks for brining joy to my heart and a smile to my face. You will always be missed. You were a true friend.
Mike was the first deputy that I met when at started with the department 3 years ago. He always would say hello with that big smile on his face. He will be missed by all of us but I know he is in heaven waiting for us to party "Vegas" style...RIP Mike you were one of a kind.
To say I was shocked and saddened by Mikes passing really doesn't encompass the array of feelings I experienced when I heard...Mike worked for me years ago at Body Focus while finishing school and deciding where is future would lead him. He was such a pleasure to be around and I was sure he would succeed at anything he pursued. He was always 'Mikee' to all of us at BF and will continue to be in my heart. You will missed Mikee...
Mike, I remember you from our early days as kids playing basketball at St Paschals, you had a constant smile and a sense of humor that could lift anyone up. As we grew up, through Jr High and High School, you always maintained that same smile and sense of humor. I remember enjoying sitting next to you at both thouse graduations. In the recent years we bumped into each other, while we both grew up, your same smile and sense of humor were still there! Your smile will live on in the hearts of many. Rest in peace Mike. You will be missed. Scott Nessel
My heart and prayers go out to all of Mike’s family and friends. Mike and I grew up together and we both had profound influences on one another. Mike’s friendship helped me become the man I am today. He will be sorely missed, every single memory I have of him, from pre-school to college always brings a smile to my face.
You were taken too soon. You have left a lasting impression in my life. Thanks for the great memories, they will last a lifetime. God Bless your family and friends. May everyone who knew you find comfort in knowing you are an angel in heaven. May you rest in peace. Love, Virginia Tinoco
Mike, Its amazing how much the energy of one person can fill the room the way it did when you were there. Your presence is already and will always be missed. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. Until we meet again..Rest in Peace.
Mike I can't believe I am actually having to write this to you. I am lost without you. You were not only my boyfriend you were my best friend, my heart, my soul mate. We have been through so much together over the last 3 years I don't even know where to begin. I will always love you and never replace you. I am sitting here with "our" blanket and your jacket as we speak just to feel your presence. There are too many memories to even try to describe our time together. From Incubus concerts to Disneyland to hanging with Big E and Sharon, to carrying you home from a long night out. There isn't enough time or even enough words to describe the bond we shared, you were my number 1.
My fondest memories of you were those of just laying in your bed all day watching movies and talking about life and our future together. I don't know if I will ever find another person to care about me the way you did. Who will clean my hair up off the bathroom floor now? or stand next to me in the mirror as I'm trying to get ready and dance and flex just to get a smile out of me? or drive on every trip because you know I get sleepy behind the wheel. Mike you were the only person that could make me cry the way you did but were also the only one who could ever make me feel better. No one will ever make me laugh the way you did, I always asked if there was a commercial break in the Mike Murray show and you would just laugh it off and keep dancing. I hope you are watching down on us right now to see how much you touched all of our lives. There will never be another Mike Murray.
Mike had to be one of the sweetest more acaring guys I have ever met. There was not a bad bone in his body, this is a very sad moment for me but I am happy to have known Mike and to have shared good times together. You will be missed by so many Mike, you are in a better place now bro.
MM, What up dog, it's Big J aka Legend. I've decided to share with you and everyone else my top 3 Favorite Mike Murray moments. Even though we met just last year, the time I shared with you was nothing short of amazing my friend.
3. Mike Murray Arms - One night we were all out drinkning and I was having a hard time talking to ladies. I think we all were.lol Anyway, Mike on the other hand had everyone and their mother coming up to him because they loved his arm tattoos. Because of this I went in front of Mike and he put his arms under my armpits as they were mine. We proceeded to walk around the bar and introduce me as Mike Murray for the next hour. It was classic!!!!!!
2.Pub Golf in SB for your 30th. This was a doosie my friend. I'm not sure I'll ever forget that trip and I'm gald we have some pictures to prove it. For about a month Mike wanted to go to Santa Barbara for his Baday and play PubGolf. Brett got score cards, came up with some crazy rules and we were off. We all thought we could play the full 9 holes if not 18 with ease but only made it to about 4-1/2. Nothing better than a day of hanging out with good friends. ps. My team is claiming victory for that win and we've decided we are making that a yearly tradition on your bday. Thank You
1. Laguna Beach - This weekend was by far the best guys trip I've ever been on. I have so many memories from two days that I could write a book! From us partying on that rooftop bar when we first arrived, to you getting pelted in the shoe by a jelly donut as we dropped you off. I'll cherish those moments and will never forget.
Please watch over us ALL and know that you will ALWAYS be in our thoughts. I look forward to that day in heaven when we get to play Tong again bud.
At this very difficult time may you find comfort in knowing that your precious son is now in heaven with his maker. May our heavenly father wrap his arms around your family and help you to celebrate Michael's life. Reading all of the memories above he sounds like he really touched alot of peoples lives and for that hold joy that he used his God given gifts to the fullest. We are all praying here in Wisconsin for you Steve and Sharon. And for Sharon we lift up prayer for you to heal. In his name Lynne, Hanna & Bob Romens (Jan's Family)
Mike and I went to school together. He was such a great person. Loyal to all his friends and nice to everyone. Mike was hilarious but never at the expense of others. He was GENUINE, KIND and such a HAPPY PERSON. His smile is one I will never forget. He was loved by so many. May we all find comfort in knowing MIKE is waiting to greet his dear friends and family in HEAVEN!
I did not know Mike personal, but only from the wonderful things I heard his dad say about him. He was very, very proud of his son. Your family will miss you forever. May God contiune to wrap his arm's around the entire Murray family and help with this sad loss. RIP Jan
Our hearts go out to the entire Murray family. We have so many fond memories of Michael and the entire Murray family. The memories of those special soccer days, games, trips, family get togethers and tournaments we all attended together, make us smile as we remember them. We will always remember Michael as a happy, free spirited young man who was always fun to be around and who brought smiles to those he was with at any time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad and difficult time. With love, Bob and Stephanie Brazell
So many good memories, I remember walking to your house just a few streets down in the early 90's to head out to go bodyboarding daily, and always laughing the entire day at Zuma. It is tragic to lose you and makes things all too real.
I am sincerely saddened that you were taken so early, and you will be forever missed!
Mike, You touched me and changed me in ways no one will never know. I strived to be someone like you...not worried about others opinions, not caring if someone disagreed with you...you were just "Mike Murray" and you were the BEST! You loved "Sunday Fundays" and I will never forget the memories and times I was able to share with you, they meant the WORLD to me. Your friends love you more than you will ever know!! I hope someday I can have your courage, passion, and most of all your HEART! Keep being Mike Murray and I will see you again someday! <3
Mike, where do I even start. How do I even begin to thank you. From the laughs in the jail, helping me move to San Diego or even making me carry Milinda through the water to your boat just to get me earn "brownie points" with her to be cashed in at a later date. The vegas trips were something else. I still think an address on the strip should've been the second address on your license. Thanks for the all the laughs. The ones that certainly stick in my mind are the dances you did in CIR, the drinking of coffee through a straw so you didn't stain your pretty teeth and of course, you running out of staff dining to get away from Penny Willard after some inquiry was made that we'll just leave out of this. I kick myself now for passing up meeting up with you last 4th of July when we ran into each in PB. I never would have thought that would be the last time. Thank you Mike, thank you for everything.
Mike Murray, you were quite the character. Always creating some type of laughter and keeping us on our toes. You left us too early. It was a pleasure and honor to be assigned to Staff when you were in the Academy.
Psalm 23 says,
"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
Matthew 5:9 states,
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God."
Mike, help to prepare a path for us. Rest easy in the arms of the Lord.
I just want to start with my thoughts and prayers to the entire Murray family and friends. I know this is such a trying time and I am confident each person will be stronger.
Mike, I will always remember your sense of humor and going out of your way to make sure that the people you were with were comfortable. You always made me and everyone esle around you smile and laugh. And while I did not talk with you every day or even keep in touch over the years, I am feeling this loss and you are not forgotten.
May we all carry out your attitude and outlook on life.
"Ladies MikeMurray is here free of charge"...who says that??...The one and only. I can honestly say that I have never met somebody that could ridicule me so much, by commeting on my "chrome tips, pigeon walk, fake tan and teeth" constantly. Still, we both would die of laughter. Anybody that knew MikeMurray (yes, the way he said his name it officially is one word in Websters) and I's friendship, would know that there are infinite humorous stories. From playing roman jousting with beer buckets on top of our heads at the Palm Desert pool to hours of playing eighties music at a Santa Barbara bar while dancing with everybody in site. From eating pizza at a New York pizzeria at 5 am, while he looked at me disgusted at how many jalapenos I could fit on a slice at one time to the endless trips to Vegas and San Diego where he would always bug to stay one more night cause we had such a good time. Etc., Etc.,
There are few in this world that reach and surpass greatness. And there are even fewer that one can consider a "true" friend. Not one day will pass that I will not reflect on all the times and I know we will reunite some day again.
My god bless as all the way that Mike did with his ways.
Mike, We didnt know you for very long, but you gave us the most special gift of all, our Grandson Jack Ethan who's smile lights up our hearts like you did for so many others. We see you in him everyday. We are so so lucky to have him in our lives..We will miss you and we will never let Jack forget what a great Father he had.
My heart and prayers go out to all of Mike’s family and friends. A friend, teammate, and the guy with the infectious laugh that makes you smile/laugh out loud randomly days, months and years later. Thank you Mike for being a part of my life, you will be greatly missed but never forgotten!
Mike will never be forgot, he was so special to so many people. I'll cherish my memories of all the great times we had together. Dancing in staff dining (yes the shopping cart was the best), Vegas & lake trips...just to name a few. Mike lit up the room, everywhere he went, I'll miss him everyday. Katie
What a hard letter to write, life is so unfair and the world lost an absolutely amazing person last week and heaven most definitely gained an angel (a funny one at that)! You were such a pleasure to be around, and i am so glad i had the opportunity to have you in my life. So many funny memories and so many fun times, i will never forget your crazy dance moves ( i love how EVERYONE on here) made a comment about them, and your smile when you would walk into the room and even WITHOUT saying anything, everyone knew you were there. I think everyone would give anything in the world to tell you one last time how awesome you were, and just to say thank you for always being you. We will never forget you Mike Murray, may you rest in peace :( miss you already.
Life used to be so simple. When we were kids, the most important thing was winning a soccer game, eating at Toppers, or getting the green light to have a sleepover.
Those days will forever live in my memory... Days where Mike was always smiling - even when we lost, always funny - even if we didn't get to eat at our favorite spot, and always full of energy - even after staying up all night laughing.
I cannot imagine those memories without him, and will forever regret not maintaining a stronger friendship throughout the years.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone whose life Mike Murray has touched. May his wonderful memory live on forever.
I am so glad I was able to see you for one last time when Tricia and I ran into you at BJ's over the holidays. It was so good to see you, and great to see that nothing has changed over the years... you were still the smiling, friendly and inviting guy I knew back at St. Paschals Elementary.
This loss is tragic and horribly sad, and my deepest thoughts and prayers go out to your family, and the many friends in your life. You will never be forgotten, Mike Murray.
From the first day I met you at the Main Jail, I could tell you were a special person. You were always a positive role model for me at work. I promise to continue to protect the residents of Ventura County in your honor. I will always remember your smile, easy going personality, and professionalism. Jenn and I will come to pay our respects on Monday. During your Mass on Tuesday I will be patrolling Camarillo with you in my thoughts and heart. Bless you always and may the lord hold you and keep you safe.
Before our police academy started, we all met at the park to go over marching, PT, staff office verbiage, and all the other silly things that are demanded of you in the academy. Nobody really knew each other and we were all nervous. One night, when we were dilligently practicing marching (we were awful), we all stopped out of frustration and people were a little "punchy." While everyone else was putting in their two cents on how it should go, Mike was next to me bee-bopping around moonwalking and singing. I thought, "Who is this guy?" At first, I was annoyed that he was messing around, and then I reconsidered, and I admired the fact that he seemed unphased by the impending doom of the academy. He stayed that way throughout the academy, and he was non-stop shenanigans.
I keep reading about how funny Mike was, and that is truly how I remember him too. He was genuine, sarcastic (but kind), and I will miss him. Thanks for the memories, Heather Tallent 2002-1
We still can't even begin to digest the idea that you are no longer here! Gabriel and I have had an amazing time getting to know you over the last couple years! We have had some of the greatest memories with you! Like when Kaila & Gabriel ditched you & me at USC and you & I had to scale the back wall of the baseball field to get to the car! :) Poor thing you had to hoist me up! LOL!
My heart is so broken for little Jack! Gabriel & I were so honored when you & Kaila asked us to be Godparents! There is definately a huge piece to the puzzle of life that is now missing because you are no longer here with us!
We miss you and enjoyed ever moment we got to spend with you!
Mike, you will always be remembered. This one is for you buddy...
"To our friend, present past and beyond Even though you weren't with us too long Your life is the most precious thing you can lose While you were here the fun was never ending Laugh a minute only the beginning Michael Ryan Murray, this one's for you
Ever get the feeling you can't go on Just remember whose side it is that you're on You've got friends with you till the end If you're ever in a tough situation We'll be there with no hesitation Brotherhood's our rule we cannot bend
When you're feeling too close to the bottom You know who it is you can count on Someone will pick you up again We can conquer anything together All of us are bonded forever If you die I die that's the way it is
To all my friends, present past and beyond To all those who weren't with us too long Life is the most precious thing that you can lose While you were here the fun was never ending Laugh a minute was only the beginning Mike, my brother, this one's for you."
I know I speak for everyone that knew Mike when I say that the world will be less happy without him. What a joy it was to know him and work with him at Body Focus. He was one of the best employees I had and an exceptional person. I am truly saddened but feel blessed to have know him.
To a fallen brother and a family left behind...I have no past history with Mike (We only met a few times)...Only the family we share in law enforcement. I mourn your loss; for your family's sorrow is my own and the disdain of your friends is mine as well. You are honored by those who live on, and who knew you better than I...and with that memory, I honor your life and pray for your family. Go with God, rest in peace and may your family and loved ones soon know joy once again. Mike Baker
You were an awesome co-worker. You made me smile everyday. Those days I didn't smile you found away to cheer me up. I will never forget the call at 2am when you said WHAT"S UP!!! HA HA.. I was sleeping and was surprised to hear your voice especially since I wasn't working with the Sheriff's anymore. You were bummed for me, but it was a nice call and wished I could hold on to that moment a little longer.
I will miss the coolest Sheriff’s Deputy I think the only one that listens to crazy punk music, and has colorful tattoos. You are definitely the kind of guy that proved everyone wrong with stereotyping.
I will miss you and cherish every moment you have impacted my life. I know you will be in heaven watching out for me like always. Thanks Mike for everything!
I met Murray while working as a booking nurse at the main jail where I worked for 10 years. When I walked in and saw him, I knew it would be a good day. His laugh and smile were so infectious. He made me happy to be there and I always felt protected by him. I saw how he made everyone laugh and smile and what a good friend he was to them. He kept telling me that I should get a tattoo. "That's all you need Rose". And as each of the deputies would leave to go out to those streets I knew that one day I would see them again, bringing someone on the wall or just passing through. Because after all, we were family. I cared about those guys. I no longer work at the jail but I often thought I would see him one day bringing someone into the ER for clearance (something that everyone likes to do. Ha!) or maybe I'ld see him on the streets and yell to him (not good to do I found out) but how can I help it. So I waited for that day, but I know now that it won't come. But I have great memories of this wonderful person, the happiness he spread, the comraderie, the friendship, jokes and laughter...and I miss him. Wish I could see you again. God Bless You Murray. Rose Sanders-Davis,RN
M&M; You have touched hundreds if not thousands of lives positively. We worked together for almost 5 years in one of the worlds worst places to be. You made being at the Main Jail tolerable, fun and most of the time excitingly unpredictable. You never had a chip on your shoulder, as you treated everyone fairly and with compassion. I would always pray that we were working together as you could make the best time out of dreary situation. I wish we could have played more golf and had much more time with you. God takes the ones he loves the most first, so I look forward to having you welcoming me into heaven some day. I hope your family finds peace and comfort knowing you are in a much better place... Your friend: Todd Eskridge
Mike, I only got to work with you for a short time at the jail, but in that short period I got to know a great person. You were always alot of fun to work with and made our days/nights alot more enjoyable. May you rest in peace. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Lisa J.
Like everyone else there are many great memories and laughs. You are missed but you'll never be forgotten! Take care Bro! I'll See you when I get there.
There is a lot we can say about all the good times we had with you. I am happy that I had the opportunity to be in a small part of your life. You always had that grin or smile on your face and I was just waiting for what was to happen next. You definitely made my jail experience one that I will never forget! Working with you for the past two years at the Main Jail and East Valley Jail was awesome. We always had a great time and I have a lot of great memories. There are things that will always have the Mike Murray stamp to it:
The Smuckers Uncrustable sandwich is called a “Moss Pocket!” and you have to say it to the tune of "Hot Pockets" when you take it out of the package.
That dang “Jitter Bug” cell phone commercial. Every time it was on, you had to sing to it. We all soon found out that was the only type of phone you could use because you couldn’t text on the new age touch screen phones.
The Arrowhead water bottle lettering ALWAYS had to be straight and even with the dispenser. You always knew when is was not in place and gave us the "eye".
When there is a problem all you would have to say is “I’m over it” and it was solved.
I could go on and on. Everyone knows that is so true. There is so much to say about you that there will never be an end. You lived life to the fullest. Your parents should be proud!!!!!
On your last day at the East Valley Jail, you wanted me to show you the ins and outs of the patrol car, so you could have an edge on training. You had the biggest grin on your face when you sat in the patrol car knowing you just made it to patrol. I remember you saying, “I can’t wait until you get out here so we can have some fun!” I will always remember that day!
Mike….. You will be missed, but you will never be forgotten my friend. May you have peace in knowing you lived a good life and you will always be remembered!
Your friend and one of many brothers, Jason Cantrall
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host - by the Divine Power of God - cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
"While you were here the fun was neverending Laugh a minute was only beginning..." - Bro Hymn by Pennywise Mike- We are still trying to wrap our heads around the idea of living in a world without you. In reality, you will always be here with us- imprinted in our hearts and the laugh lines in our faces. Although you were taken too soon, you left us with a lifetime's worth of memories. Your infectious humor and quick wit were unsurpassed. Thankyou Sharon and Steve for creating suceh an incredible person. Mike was a true friend to the guys, and a charming gentleman to the ladies. We will never forget you Mike. Tiffany and Nick Jones
I carry a piece of paper in my "flat badge" wallet that has the following written on it:
GOOD COPS ARE WARRIORS WHO BELIEVE IN THE FOLLOWING........"FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS, YOU ARE GOING TO BE FACED WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE FLEEING EVIL AND DANGER. YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY AND THE MISSION TO STAND UP AND SAY, 'ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A SAFE PLACE? THEN GET BEHIND ME BECAUSE I AM A COP AND THIS IS AS FAR AS THE BASTARDS ARE GOING TO GET!!!!!!!'"
Mike, you lived up to this motto and will continue to do so in the House of God. Thanks for being a great COP and making this world a little brighter place while you were here.
I remember you fondly from BF and it's unbelievable that you aren't here anymore; you are somewhere else now continuing your journey as we will all be going someday. Forever young, never to grow old....see you someday, somewhere, you were a sweet soul on earth and I'll always remember joking around with you and you could always make anyone smile. Love Carrie Catena
I have had the privilege of knowing you since high school! It is unreal to me that I just heard from you a couple weeks ago for the last time! I have so many great memories of you that I will always carry with me! Recently, you told me that I need to learn to drive. So, please watch over me and my driving skills!
There are so many life lessons that you have taught me personally, and I am going to do my best to live by your example! You have shown me how to embrace each day, the importance of forgiveness, and to find the humor in any situation!
Whenever I hear my favorite band, or anything that pertains to "Le Mis", I will think of you! I will miss your laughter, your sarcasm, your "singing", and your infectious smile! You were taken too soon and will be truly missed! You will hold a place in my heart forever!
Mike, Well Mike I never really got a chance to meet you. That is something I regret and wont make that mistake when we meet again. Everyone that knew you and talked about you always had nice things to say. I turned 30yrs old today and it is just to young for you to have left us.
I know even those of us you didnt know you are watching over us and our families. I thank you for that. And I know you are missed by many and forgotten by none.
Keep us safe Mike till we meet later on down the road. J. Lopez
LOOK OUT LADIES IN HEAVEN!!! "MIke Murray is here!"
I miss you so much bro! I will never forget our special memories. From working at Body Focus to work outings and Vegas trips.
I will never forget Saturday morning in our New York New York hotel room when I was in the shower you were on the toilet and Goodrich was brushing his teeth in the mirror. THAT'S FRIENDSHIP!!
I will never forget you making so many new friends while walking through the casino in Jody's pajamas with that special orange visor. You definitely made memories that day.
Beer bongs, quarters, jager shots and coors light, dualing piano bars, and gettin' your freak on!
I love you Mike! Thank you so much for the fun and laughter.
Though I didn't know you Mike, I have felt the pain of your passing deeply. From all that I have heard and read about you, you were a wonderful, soulful and loving person and will be so very missed here. I will pray for your family, and your son as thier loss is great. Love, peace and all heavenly thoughts to you, much too young, much too good, much too soon.... Joy
Dear Sharon & Steve, It stopped us cold when we heard about Michael yesterday and we couldn't think of anything but the two of you. We remember Mike as a little boy, sweet and shy, polite and kind, sleeping over or playing soccer we can't remember anyone ever having a bad thing to say about him. What a wonderful man he grew to be, but then that's what happens when you have parents who love you as dearly as you loved him. Our hearts are breaking for you but we wish you comfort in your beautiful memories and the knowledge that only you had the exceptional privelege of being "Mom and Dad" to the incredible person we all knew as Mike Murray.
I still remember like it was yesterday when Casey Ritchie and I would take walks to your house to catch a glimpse of the interesting boys who were always frequenting the property. Visits at my dance studio when you were at Body Focus and hanging out at the lunch table at school. Thanks to you I met my first love and have met some people that are and will always be close to my heart. You always knew how to put a smile on my face and your sense of humor will stay with me forever--there is no comparison! I still think of you when I hear one of those "Michael Murray" comments that everyone is mentioning..."always taking one for the team" especially! You have touched the lives of so many and you will be greatly missed. We will always love you!
Mike, I remember like it was yesterday... walking the long way home from junior high just so we could walk past you boys playing basketball!! And those times hanging out in your house, usually cause one of your friends was trying to hook up with one of mine! I enjoyed getting the experience to grow up with you and your family... I will miss you...
As I read all the comments from people who have known Mike through the years, it is obvious that the sweet boy we knew many years ago became a wonderful man, much to your credit. I pray that knowledge will give you strength during this difficult time.
So pleasant, so professional, so personable, so fun, so happy, so charming, I could go on and on but anyone who knew you, knows all the wonderful words we could use to describe you.I know that when ever I hear the words "Hello Ladies" or the song "Bringin Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake you will be on my mind. You are gonna be missed so much friend. God Bless you and your family.
Mike, You were one of the good ones that we all wish could have stuck around a little longer. you were one of a kind, thats for sure. things wont be the same without you around. you will be missed by all who knew you. i always knew it was gonna be a fun shift full of wise cracks like "Menudo" and laughs whenever we worked together and those times will be missed. My thought and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
I don't even know where to begin except to say that I am thankful for the time we spent together. I will never forget all the great times we had from meeting at Body Focus, the Fire Academy, Thanksgiving with the family, Yucatan, our Chocolate Molten Lava cake runs from Chili's, and kayaking at my dads. The list goes on, and as you would say "Good times". I'm sure you are giving everyone belly aches, from laughing, and are the most popular guy up in Heaven. You will be missed greatly!
I will never forget the first time I ever met you in Las Vegas and of course your famous line was "Hello Ladies." Fate crossed our paths again sometime later when I started working at the MJ and you were on my shift. Such an amazing person, you brought joy to so many people's lives and you always knew how to make us all smile. I will never forget forget you. I know that God needed you by his side and it's a comfort to know that you are up there watching over all of us. Love to you always my friend.
Well Bro, the Lord is really going to have his hands full now. I guess he needed a good man with a big heart and hilarious dance moves.
I was givin the oppertunity to move in with a friend Nick and his two best friends, Mike and Tony. At first I was hesitant, but after meeting them and hearing Mike walk through the front door every day saying "PLAYERS" Mike Murray is in the house, I new it was going to be a good time. I will never forget the house partys, Ciscos, Yucatan, Canyon Club and most of all "VEGAS"!! I went with Mike down to Think Ink when he got his first tattoo, I remember him saying, "Dude that was painful, I'm pretty happy about that,in a sarcastic voice, no more tats for me." Well, as we all know that didnt last long.
Another great memory is friday nights we would get home about 2:30am and crash in bed from a long night out. Four hours later the house would be shaking from Mike putting his guitar amp down the hall, running the cord under his door and him laying in bed jammin on his Pennywise rifs. It made an early morning with no sleep.
Mike, you will always be in everyones hearts and the awesome memories everyone has of you!!! Until we meet again,
It's not easy to deal with the fact that you're gone. Thinking about all the great memories over the past seven years is not making it any easier. You were truly a great person.
You made everyone smile and laugh. And when I say "everyone" that's no short order. It seemed that you knew someone pretty much everywhere you went. We would be in some random place and people would walk up to you and say, "Hey Mike." You would always respond with your signature, "Hey buddy" to guys and "Hello Ladies" to girls. How could one person have so many good friends? I always asked myself that. It was obvious really...you just had a way about you that made people like you.
I will never forget the Academy, carpooling with you, Mark and Dave. Everyone thought we goofed around too much. Then we would take turns driving each other to the Main Jail where I would hope to be assigned to the same level as you. It was always a good shift when working in booking with the old B shift crew...you guys know who you are. Who dances on the booking floor? Mike does, that's who.
Then the lake trips and eventually onto East Valley Jail where we would laugh at those commercials no one else seemed to find funny.
You would always say "Good times." That is what we had...
"And if you were with me tonight, I'd sing to you just one more time. A song for a heart so big, god wouldn't let it live."- Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World
How unfair life can be! Too soon buddy... way too soon. But you had such a good time here. You'll be in my thoughts:-) I met you at Body Focus and recall the many times I saw you out at P6 and in Vegas:-) Such a fun-loving guy you are!!! You will be missed by many, always.
Be seeing you somewhere over the rainbow;-) Erin Camron
Mike was not only one of the nicest, sweatest man i have met, but he was true, he was real he was what everyone dreamed of e real person,a true friend! We didn't hang out everyday day, every week nor every month, but when we did or when i saw him or just heard his voice, my heart pranced with excitement, he always brought a smile not only on his face but yours :) you will be missed so much mike, but we we all see you soon and we will all live our lifes with apart of you in it and thank you for that. with love always ashlee
We remember Mike as a wonderful boy who grew up to be a wonderful man. We had just seen him a couple of years ago and he was still the same old Mike. Smilining, polite and sharing good times together. Those early days of soccer games and tourament trips will be fond memories never to be forgotten. We miss those days. Our hearts go out to Steve and Sharon, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Oh Mike. I wish when I saw you at Bandit's last Wednesday I would have known it was the last time I would have seen your sweet smiling face. It's so sad that we don't get a chance to tell people how much we love and appreciate them and then all of a sudden they are gone and so many things left unsaid. You always were such a bright light and always had me smiling (with everyone else). I'm glad that while you were with us you were able to perfect your best man speech - it was a GREAT one!! LOL You're a great guy Mike Ryan and I hope you are resting and smiling in the arms of Jesus now. You have made such an impact on so many people and I know your parents are so proud of you and all your accomplishments. We'll miss you Mike. Keep smiling my friend!! Micki Hazz & the fam
Wish I could make one of my many phone calls to you, from the parking lot of the East Valley Station, waking you up and you would be there again. How many times did we look at each other while Susan was driving and think "I think I'm getting car sick." Then there were the many carpool rules that you, Russ, Marcos and I had to come up with just to make it home.
You'll be glad to know my wife has benefited from something you once told me, "Qui, you've gotta give the ladies what they want."
The past few days I've found myself thinking about the last 7 years. It has been such a short time. But we measure a lifetime by the life that was lived. Mike you lived life to it's fullest. Those of us who were lucky enough to have you touch our lives will always be able to smile when we think of you. We can find comfort in knowing you are watching over us as you did when you stood by us.
Though we only spent four days together in the 9J41 car, I have learned more from you then you could have ever learned from me. I cherish every minute I spend with my family, as life is way too short. I go 10-8 knowing you are there watching over me and every Deputy who wears the badge in Ventura County.
You were taken far too soon, but I guess God needed one of the finest trainees I have had for his own. If I make it to heaven, I hope the tables are turned and you are my FTO.
"And now we are free. I will see you again, but not yet. Not yet."
Mikey Murray, "Hello Gorgeous." That's officially your trademark expression with the women. What a charmer you are. I have to say, you were the one at Body Focus that all the ladies loved! LOVED. Working with you behind that front desk and laughing about all life's nuances... Singing along to all the 92.7 jams... Seeing you come down the stairs with the sweeper, while using it to "pole" dance... Giggling as you would walk in with that Mike Murray expression on your face: "Mike Murray's here...." the whole staff hungover... but you always joking around. I'm not gonna lie, I would purposely TRY to schedule myself to work with you, cuz I knew it'd be the best shift ever— and it always was. Havasu memories of you blasting Lincoln Park in the truck, singing and dancing the whole way... How you MADE us pull over so you could take a picture with that pig trough that said "honk, honk ee donk..." Greeting me at Gold's Gym with a genuine smile... You're so silly Mikey! Dancing at Blue... You are truly one of the sweetest men I've ever known. Ever single memory of you makes me smile— and laugh. Though this time is indescribably difficult, you were loved, dearly, by all who knew you. We will miss you and remember you always. I know you're smiling down on us all at this very moment. Till we meet again sweet one, Katherine Phillipson
To Michael's family, our deepest sympathy. Your loss cannot be overestimated. Our memories of Michael,Travis Almquist and our Michael, the summertime "gang of Three" tearing around the neighborhood, playing Masters of the Universe and Army are very tender and dear to us. Michael was a special, sweet, kind child and from what we read, the same as an adult. God be with you Stephanie Steve and Sharon and all the family. We are praying for each of you. Butch and Pam Rose
Where do we begin.. I can vividly remember my first day at St. Paschal's in the 6th grade. We were at lunch when you approached me and said, "Hi, Mike Murray here." Who would have thought that I would be hearing that phrase for the next 18 years? We continued our friendship via Body Focus and then through our careers. When most officers would dread having to transport and book a client into custody, I was excited as I knew I'd be seeing "mike murray." You introduced me to Dan and words cannot express how grateful I am for that. Dan and I just pulled out our wedding photo where you wrote that we owe you $30 for gas to drive to the reception!! Every memory we have with you makes us laugh whether it be from work, Havasu, Vegas, or good ol SPBS! I mean really, how many times can someone run into the same person at Burbank Airport for cryn' outloud?? No matter the mood, you always brought a smile to everyone's face. We will never be able to replace a friend like you and are grateful to your parents for bringing you into our lives. We miss you! Love, Dan and Alyssa Hallinan
Dear Sharon and Steve, I am deeply grieved to hear the news of MIke's death. I cannot imagine the pain you feel right now. MIke has been the light of our lives. His passing will leave a great void in the hearts of all that have been forunate enough to have know him. I will miss all his jokes and laughter. What loving parents you are, words cannot express how deeply sorry I am that you have to endure this loss. May all of us bring you strength and comfort during this difficult time.
I am heart broken to hear of your devasting loss. May you find comfort in the memories of such a wonderful child. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. With love always, Debbie Vierra
I am deeply saddened by your sudden death. I only regret not spending more time with you. I'll miss your funny forwards you'd email me while at work, your bad stories, and the old days where we'd watch american idol together and sip on wine. Not many people have a light in their eyes.... and warmth to their presence ...you did and I wish I could have expressed to you how sincerely blessed I was to have known you for the length of time I did. I know you'll make others laugh in heaven as you did on earth. I'll always love and adore you, and I"ll never forget that beautiful smile.
To our loving cousin, Michael, Our grief is deep... because our love for you was great. And, when you love you someone, in whatever capacity that love brings, a lifetime (no matter how many years it may yield), is simply not long enough. Our family's faith leaves us comfort in knowing you are in a far better place, yet we grieve for ourselves as we are left behind to carry on without you. Though our adult lives became busier with work, marriage, children and life in general, our love was a constant... one that did not need to be seen in person to be known or felt in our hearts. In this tragedy, we want to thank you, Michael, for reminding us just how precious life is and that it's gift should never be taken for granted. Thank you for reminding us to forgive a little easier, love a little deeper and strive for tomorrow without ever forgetting to live for today. We know those "dashing good looks" (you informed us you got from our grandparents), coupled with that incredibly charming smile, will have your dance card eternally filled. Until we meet again, keep dancing with the angels... and watch over us. Love is forever. We love you, Michael. Love your cousins, Angie and Juli (and families)
You were so special to me, growing up with my Son Tony,You,Nick and Collin all gave me such fond memories and so much laughter, I was so sad to here of your passing you meant so much to all of us. I will always remember how you made me laugh and your sweet way about you. I look forward to seeing you again someday, You will be missed. God bless you Sweet Mikey.
I am an older dog. Over the years I watched you and alot of your group grow. Yes, I was proud of all of you. I also followed the "Rat Pack" and without a doubt you were the Dean Martin of the group! You will be missed but remembered in a very loving way!
I'll never forget your drawings and the laughs you brought to our DAR class. You have touched so many and left a lasting impression with all. You have taught us all that life is to short and we should cherish every moment we have. I pray that the Lord's angels have taken you home. I pray that you look down upon us not with sadness but with joy, knowing how many you have touched with your memories. May you rest in peace brother for you will live eternally in our hearts.
Mr. "Beautiful". I am so so sad to hear you have passed. You really were such a sweet person. Anyone that had the chance to have you in their life, is lucky. I won't forget all the fun times we all had together. Your presence will be missed greatly. So much love for you. May God be with you.
Although I have only seen you on occasion since our days at SPBS, I will always remember you as a sweet and kind hearted boy that always had a smile on you face. We were each lucky to have you in our lives. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. You will always be remembered and greatly missed.
As I read through all these amazing tributes and sentiments, I was very moved and happy to see that I was in good company. You have always been a charming ladies’ man, and a true friend to so many. And I have always felt honored to know you, and have held a very special place for you in my heart. So many of us have shared some of the happiest moments of our lives and created some great memories with you, MikeMurray (and as many have mentioned it is, one word). We have been friends since high school physiology class, when you use to stare at me and get me in trouble for not paying attention. And yes, it was you staring at me! Days, months, and years would pass by, but we always managed to find each other again and again, and pick up right where we left off. From the very beginning, just the thought of you would make me smile. When I’d run into you, it was always the highlight of my day. You were a real self-esteem booster, with the gift to make a girl feel confident, secure, and beautiful. You had that ability to make a girl feel hopeful. There are few guys in this world that have those kinds of powers, which I guess, would make you a magic man of sorts. I think many of your girl friends would agree with me, that the world needs more men like you. I admired the fact that you have never changed. You were always the smiling, charming, funny MikeMurray. Probably one of the most genuine people I have known, and knowing you has changed my life more than you realize. You are the star of my greatest memory to date. I’m going to miss you MikeMurray. All my thoughts and love goes out to you and your family at this time.

“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” ~ Leo Buscaglia
I will always cherish the love, laughter and memories we shared. I have not seen you in a while but you're always in my thoughts and will remain in my heart forever.I will miss you Mikey.
You truely have one of the kindest souls I have ever seen in a person. I don't believe I have ever witnessed you without a smile on your face and a wonderful thing to say.
I'll never forget your last minute calls that you were coming into town and we needed to have a pool day. Pool days led to shots, which led to me losing my shoes, which then led to me stealing your t-shirt and leaving my sunglasses. I'll never forget the silly dance offs, the many of nights out on the town, or lunch at Pink Taco.
It's much too early to say goodbye to such a great person. I'll miss you terribly!
Mike, While we are all grieving and very sad that you are not here with us anymore, I know that you are in heaven looking down and watching over us. Your spirit and friendship will remain in our hearts forever. I hope all of the wonderful things and memories from everyone you've touched in your life are being sent up to you so you can see how much you are loved and what a positive impact you have made on all of us. While we have all been very devastated the past week , I could not help but smile when i met your handsome Son Jack today , What a beautiful gift you have left your family and friends , He really is a little part of you. I was watching your mom look at him and hold him and can't even describe the Joy on her face!! Mike may you rest in peace and cast that big Smile down to us from Heaven and give us strength to pass the time until we meet again.
Miko, What do I say? How do I say good bye to one my bestfriends? We were going to grow old together and raise our kids together.... This is so hard.... Mike I must say you were such an amazing guy with the most infectious personality. I am so lucky to have had some of the best times of my life with you. I will always cherish those memories forever. I'm sorry I never got to really tell you how much our friendship ment to me. I thought I had the rest of our life to do that. God works in mysterious ways and he has a plan for us all. I will miss you but I'll never forget "mike murray"!!! Save me a spot up there... Love you man, TB
I was fortunate to be Michaels' Soccer coach when he was 11 years old. We formed a special bond, not just because he came from a great family and was a great kid, but because we both shared a flaw in our game, we were slow. Many times Michael would get down on himself because he was not fast enough, but together we worked on his belief that he could still do anything he wanted, that obstacles were there to be broken down. I saw this young boy fight his hardest, through pain and frustration, but he never gave up, never stopped believing and never ever quit. I often saw Mike working out at Golds in TO recently and we laughed and talked fondly of the past, how much he had grown, his service to others through his career of choice, and how he had grown to be an example to others. I have many many times used Mike as an example of determination, will, passion and the human example of the x-factor, when you shouldn't be able to, but you do, and you do it to your best. Michael will be living on in the lessons of life, in the lessons being passed on to the new youth following his footsteps and in the memory of all those who were fortunate to meet and embrace him. I know his team mates will never forget the Mike Murray who, by the age of 16, became the fastest player on his team, through endless work and a drive from deep inside this amazing young man. Well done Mike, and thank you for all you gave. Dan,
Steve, Sharon And Stephanie, On behalf of our entire family, I want to extend our most sincere condolences over Mike's passing. Although time and distance have kept us from seeing you all as often as we used to, you still have a very special place in our hearts and if there is anything you need, please don't hesitate to reach out. Know that you are in our prayers, and may God provide you the comfort and peace that only He can during times like these.
I was lucky enough to know Mike as my "7th grade-2nd grade little brother" at St Paschals's, as well as later in life as a brother officer. Sadly I never actually worked directly with him that much, but I always followed his career through those deputies that did. Everyone had the utmost respect for Mike and praised him not only for his professionalism, but for the humor and happiness he brought to their lives.
I was one of Mike's instructors during his recent patrol school. It was good to see him, joke with him and help him as he finally got his opportunity to make a difference "on the streets." What seemed like a temporary happy moment at the time, will now be a memory I will hold with me always.
Mike- there is no doubt you have touched the lives of so many, and made this world a better place to be for all of us just by being you. Until we meet again...rest in peace my friend.-John
Dear Mike, You are truly one in a million. Throughout the years you have always shown me such a genuine friendship. Whether it was giving me love advice or helping me with homework in high school or hanging out after college or if I just saw you at the store. You always greeted me with your beautiful smile and charm. You have a great sense of humor and a devilish sense of humor. You will be missed down here and they're very lucky to have you up there. Love, Minnie Ramos
Dear Mike, You will always hold a very special piece of my heart. I just wish I had one last chance to say goodbye and to thank you for all the great memories we shared. I pray everday for strength for your family in this very difficult time. You were truly one of a kind and will forever be in our hearts.
I'll never forget the first time we met, while out with mutual friends. Before we could even be formally introduced you walked up to the girls & I with the biggest smile on your face & said, "Ladies, Mike Murray is here." You asked if you could buy us a drink but when we declined you tried to give us money to buy you one. You really didn’t want to buy us a drink, you just didn’t want to walk away from the game you were playing with the guys and miss your turn. You brat! We thought you were hysterical! From that moment, we were drawn to you, as most people are. Your charisma was refreshing & attracted people from all avenues. That night was only the beginning of many memories, most full of laughter & encouraging words. I’ll never forget the lectures we gave one another while driving you home after running into each other on random Friday nights. You always reminded me that I could “do better” and encouraged me to “stop settling” with you know who. You have no idea the strength you gave me with your inspiring words and I will be forever grateful. I will cherish these memories forever & always remember that amazing smile; that smile that always seemed to make everything ok. Thank you for being you! Love, Elle
It took me awhile to write this because I couldn't figure out how to get the words out. How exactly does one say goodbye to a childhood best friend? The times we spent together as kids, playing army in your front yard, digging holes in San Diego beaches, running away from bee's because of your allergy, playing mud football in the park; all of these are some of my fondest and dearest memories as a child and I will forever cherish the time I had with you.
I truly regret that we grew distant after high school, you were such a incredible person and I dearly wish I had more time to get to know you as an adult and the man that you had become. Anyone reading all the comments here can plainly see that you were the same Mike - hilarious, caring, dependable, respectful and so much more that cannot be described.
My heart goes out to your family, friends and loved ones. To have lost such a great person at such a young age is a tragedy that no one should have to experience. You touched so many people, brought so much joy to this world and made it such a better place, not only through your work but by just being who you were - Mike Murray.
I will never forget you Mike and I hope one day to see you again. Rest in peace, my friend.
Mike, Your life is an inspiration to us all: Live life to the fullest, no regrets and no holds barred. While we may forget this now and again, I hope you are there to remind us and help guide us during our own journey. You were a great friend and had a wonderful spirit, which will be my lasting memory. You will always be in my heart. Thanks for the memories and until we meet again, keep me under your wing.....
I don't know where to start??? Between the good times at the parties and the good times in Vegas you were always Mike Murray.....
Too much Charm...Too much Charisma..Too many smiles and so much laughter. You took a young and militant deputy straight out of the Marine Corps and taught him what being a cop was all about. Whether it was you spraying some drunk Oaxacan in the face with water to wake him up so you can print him or wiping their own lugey off the blue booking wall with their shirt...WITH THEM STILL IN IT.... you were MIKE MURRAY.
I can't begin to tell you what you meant to me...you were the big brother I never had and the partner I always wanted. You trained me to work that Booking Floor like only MIKE MURRAY COULD WORK IT. I have so many fond memories of you at work, but we'll set those aside for now.
VEGAS, that first disgusting shot of Patron Silver we shared..you remember? Yeah, the one I threw up all over the planters, but you wouldn't let me feel the embarassment because you cleaned it up with water and pool towels. Thanks bro..., or the car ride home where we got detoured by the cops and witnessed a man growing corn in his front lawn in Victorville.. by the way you reacted I thought it was the eighth wonder of the world.
I looked forward to working with you everyday..because with everyday that passed I grew smarter and more mature. It got to the point where I would come home and my wife would ask me, "Did you work with MURRAY today?"
I could go on forever and ever with our stories, but I will leave it at this, the world will be sadder every day without your infectious laughter or smile to make those twelve hours at work pass quickly, but the world is a better place beacause of all of the lives you have touched including mine. We will always treasure your memory and I will always carry on your legacy with all of the cops I train.
MIKE MURRAY ONCE SAID, "HI, NICE TO MEET YOU, MIKE MURRAY."
Rest in peace my brother, the tattoo on my stomach will always remind me of you.....
Vic
Mike,
I felt I knew you before I ever met you because of the impact you had on Vic. He would not be who he is today if it were not for the teachings of "Mike Murray". If I had a dollar for everytime Vic came home and told me a story about the day he had with you...you ALWAYS made his day. I had the privilege of going on a Vegas trip with you. It was by far the most fun I've ever had in Vegas. Before that trip you could ask anyone and they would tell you I was not a fan of Vegas. I even had doubts about going on that one, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. You made that car ride so much fun. We all literally laughed until we cried...between the way you made fun of Vics selection of music to the corn field to Scott calling some guy a "MURRAY"....Good times....no, great times! Thanks for letting me fall asleep on your shoulder:) Until we meet again.....Murray had a little lamb.

Mike, I don't even know where to start...when I got the call I was like no...it can't be you, not Mike Murray. It breaks my heart to know this world has lost such an amazing person. From the first day I met you, you always held a special place in my heart. So many amazing times and funny stories...the best is when we could all embarass you because if anyone knows you never embarassed easily. I loved getting text messages from you that would just brighten my day out of nowhere. I always knew I could count on you and that you would always be there. I will miss you dearly...I know you are creating an amazing party up there... love u Mike Murray
"Oh Mike" Where do I begin. When I heard of your passing my heart just broke! I have such fond memories of you at Body Focus! We became friends right from the start. I will always cherish seeing you when I would come to work out, you made my Body Focus days worth it! I will always remember you trying to talk me out of getting married, and your kind words when it didn't work out. We would talk on the phone sometimes for hours about life, and I want to thank you for that my friend! You helped me in so many ways you don't even know! I want to always remember you like I saw you a few weeks ago at Bogies, smiling and having a good time! I will miss you everyday! Love You, Paula
We first met when we played baseball together in Little League back in the 80's. You and your family are such wonderful, kind and always happy people. I will carry with me the treasured memories of growing up together, you are indeed one of a kind. We will miss you!
Dear Mr & Mrs. Murray, Stephanie, Jack & Extended Family ~ I had the pleasure of meeting your creation " Michael " in Jan of 2001 when he greeted me when I joined " Body Focus ". Having just arrived from the East Coast and a native Vermonter of 40 yrs Michaels greeting, his smile, his unassuming way and well mannered presence left me with a welcome to this state I wont soon forget. I thought "WOW" so this is what the young men of So CA are all about !!! I join in sentiment with all that have left messages. Mike ( as I knew him ) truly was a testament to his role models, his parents ! He was all any parent would hope their son grew to become. Mike continued to greet me with his warm hello and that trademark smile. Whenever I asked Mike a ques while he was straighten up gym Mike immediatly would stop what he was doing and assist wether it be to show me the proper way to do the exercise or help me adjust a machine I was struggling with. He was always there to lend a helping hand and never made you feel as if you were a bother. I talked with him on his goal of becoming a Deputy Sheriff , he shared he would be leaving BF. I was sad anticipating him not greeting me at the desk, however I had no doubt he would succeed. I cannot tell you how many times your son has crossed my mind over the past 7 years from the time he left Body Focus. I had no doubt he was successful in his quest and assumed one of these days I would spot him in a crusier and go over and reintroduce myself. Mike was the type of young man that left a lasting impression on you once you met him. Few of us have this gift your Michael possessed. I was sickened to return from a trip to Atlanta, GA pick up my VC Star and see his photo and obit. As a Mother of a 20 yr old son and 23 yr old daughter, I can only imagine this type of pain and loss. My heart aches for your familes loss of truly an exceptional son , brother and young father im sure !! For those of us that had the pleasure of knowing Micheal Ryan Murray our lives were enriched . Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Sinc, Anne Marie Wyckoff, T.O , CA
I didn't really know Mike that well, but you can tell a lot about a guy by the way he shakes your hand, Mike squeezed the shit out of mine. Haha So I knew then he was strong minded and had felt strong about what he believed in and stood for. Mike you took part in something that I think is absolutly amazing, something I had never felt before, a presense of happiness and joy and a bleesing like no other. A blessing named "Jack". I can be having the worst day ever, but seeing the smile on that liitle boy's face is like the clearing of gray clouds and the bright blue sky that emerges from the sadness. You are an amazing dude Mike, and your parents are so chill their rad. Where ever you are, I know you are looking down on everyone you love and smiling. You were so young. But in life we don't know what will be coming next, our next breath or our next life. Just know this, WE LOVE YOU MIKE.
Jake Riley Davis (Kaila's Brother) May peace be forever
Mike Murray, The little time that I did spend with you was very memorable and fun. I do not think I laughed more within a couple of days then when I met you. Every time I hear Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" I picture you dancing and smiling. Every single time I hear it, I think of you and it puts a smile on my face. You are such a bright light and amazing soul. I feel lucky to have a part of your amazing life no matter how short of a time. Your personality and smile can't be matched and I am so lucky to have been able to know you. To your friends and family I offer my condolences for their huge loss and know that you are in heaven looking down upon everyone that you know and love and protecting them.
Until we meet again Mike Murray.... Warmest Wishes, K~
Your picture serves as a reminder everyday how we need to live each day as if it's our last. More importantly, to live large and enjoy it the way you always did.
It's been 8 and half months and I still wake up every day thinking about you. I can still picture you and your horrible morning breath waking up next to me. What I wouldn't give to see you again. It's still so hard, I can't believe it to this day. I miss you babe.
Mikey, Still missing you, still think of you! there are days I get lonesome for my friend. There are days that I reach to call or text you, and a little sting hits me in the heart because your not gonna answer. Still, I can't bring myself to take your number out of my phone.I keep your infectious smile & charm in my memory. I know your checking on me from time to time & that gives me great comfort. I miss u Mikey!
I am devastated to learn about your death. Ill never forget the day I first met you and the rest of the animals you hung out with @ the Hard Rock. You bought so many Washington Apple shots, that I literally think about you every time someone orders one or offers me one. We only had a chance to hang out a few times and I'll cherish those times. I dont even know what happened or how you passed but whatever the reason, I hope your family and friends know just how welcoming and kind you were to a complete stranger. Im sure you are dearly missed...I pray that those closes to you find a way to make peace with this. God Bless you and see you on the other side.

Mikey, I got married a few weeks ago. Our Sheriff's Dept.family was there to cheer me on. I had the minister take a moment to remember those no longer with us. And in that moment I thought of you. How happy you were for me when I told you I'd gotten engaged. I remembered how you said "I will be there". And true to your word, I know you were there in spirit! I miss you my friend...Milinda

ReplyDeleteFunny Memory of Mike...
ReplyDeleteNikki Webb, and I play on a women's soccer team and Rahul Alim is our AMAZING coach.
We miss you, Mike Murray...may you rest in peace and wear cleats up there in heaven when the angels want to scrimmage :)

Michael Ryan Murray..
ReplyDeleteWow where do I start so many fond memories....
Michael we miss you and we love you!!!
Marisa
P.S. Ill always have my flowers
Mikey was the absolute BEST!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I was in a bad mood (which was quite often) at work, he'd go out of his way to make me laugh and smile.
His MJ homegirl, Milinda
I wish that I could say all the things that Mike is and what I'll remember the most. But I think that Paul McCartney & John Lennon say it best. So here it goes:
ReplyDeleteThere are places I'll remember all my life
Though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all
But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these mem'ries lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I'll love you more
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I'll love you more
In my life I'll love you more
I'll miss you Pimp Daddy!
ReplyDeleteMike - I’m not going to lie, you’re kind of a big deal. That’s what you told 150 people at Nick and Tiff’s wedding. You created fun wherever you went; you always laughed the loudest and always had a smile on your face. This world lost something very special when it lost you. You will be missed by many. Love, Christina
ReplyDeleteI think I speak for everyone who's ever known Mike when I say that the smiles, laughs and warmth he brought to everyone in contact with him were contagiously uplifting. His charisma and attitude towards life truly were unparalleled.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing thing, that everyone knows you for your laughter and charisma, Mike!
R.I.P.

ReplyDeleteGod must have been in need of an AWESOME ANGEL! Mikey was just that! Such an amazing guy! I have alot of fond memories watching Mikey, Tony & Nick growing up. He was like a little Bro to me. I will truely miss you Mikey!! Love you, Sonya Barbi
ReplyDeleteWhere do I begin. I met Mike at the Main Jail when he was a brand new Deputy. Working with him always made me happy because I knew for 12 hours each shift he was going to keep me laughing. I don't ever think I saw him in a bad mood. He was always happy and love to make people laugh.
ReplyDeleteOn a trip to Vegas, Mike, Jeff DeCesari and I were in a taxi heading to our hotel. While at a stop light, Mike jumped out of the cab, ran in front of it, and took a picture of us sitting in the cab. That was just one of his funniest moments.
Mike, thanks for brining joy to my heart and a smile to my face. You will always be missed. You were a true friend.
Dennis Sliva
Mike was the first deputy that I met when at started with the department 3 years ago. He always would say hello with that big smile on his face. He will be missed by all of us but I know he is in heaven waiting for us to party "Vegas" style...RIP Mike you were one of a kind.
ReplyDeleteTo say I was shocked and saddened by Mikes passing really doesn't encompass the array of feelings I experienced when I heard...Mike worked for me years ago at Body Focus while finishing school and deciding where is future would lead him. He was such a pleasure to be around and I was sure he would succeed at anything he pursued. He was always 'Mikee' to all of us at BF and will continue to be in my heart. You will missed Mikee...
ReplyDeleteMike,
ReplyDeleteI remember you from our early days as kids playing basketball at St Paschals, you had a constant smile and a sense of humor that could lift anyone up.
YOU WILL BE MISSED AND LOVED FOREVER
ReplyDeleteMy heart and prayers go out to all of Mike’s family and friends. Mike and I grew up together and we both had profound influences on one another. Mike’s friendship helped me become the man I am today. He will be sorely missed, every single memory I have of him, from pre-school to college always brings a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteI’ll forever miss you Mike.

Words don’t come easily at times like these, but we want you to know how much we care. May the love of those near you bring comfort and strength.
ReplyDeleteBrandi and Merry (eggs n things)
You were taken too soon. You have left a lasting impression in my life. Thanks for the great memories, they will last a lifetime. God Bless your family and friends. May everyone who knew you find comfort in knowing you are an angel in heaven. May you rest in peace.

Mike, Its amazing how much the energy of one person can fill the room the way it did when you were there. Your presence is already and will always be missed. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life. Until we meet again..Rest in Peace.
ReplyDeleteMike I can't believe I am actually having to write this to you.
ReplyDeleteMy fondest memories of you were those of just laying in your bed all day watching movies and talking about life and our future together.
I love you babe, goodbye
Jolee
Mike had to be one of the sweetest more acaring guys I have ever met. There was not a bad bone in his body, this is a very sad moment for me but I am happy to have known Mike and to have shared good times together. You will be missed by so many Mike, you are in a better place now bro.

MM,
ReplyDeleteWhat up dog, it's Big J aka Legend.
Your friend, Jason
At this very difficult time may you find comfort in knowing that your precious son is now in heaven with his maker. May our heavenly father wrap his arms around your family and help you to celebrate Michael's life. Reading all of the memories above he sounds like he really touched alot of peoples lives and for that hold joy that he used his God given gifts to the fullest. We are all praying here in Wisconsin for you Steve and Sharon. And for Sharon we lift up prayer for you to heal. In his name Lynne, Hanna & Bob Romens (Jan's Family)
ReplyDeleteMike and I went to school together.
ReplyDeleteI did not know Mike personal, but only from the wonderful things I heard his dad say about him. He was very, very proud of his son. Your family will miss you forever. May God contiune to wrap his arm's around the entire Murray family and help with this sad loss.
ReplyDeleteRIP
Jan
Our hearts go out to the entire Murray family. We have so many fond memories of Michael and the entire Murray family. The memories of those special soccer days, games, trips, family get togethers and tournaments we all attended together, make us smile as we remember them. We will always remember Michael as a happy, free spirited young man who was always fun to be around and who brought smiles to those he was with at any time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad and difficult time. With love, Bob and Stephanie Brazell
ReplyDeleteMike,
ReplyDeleteSo many good memories, I remember walking to your house just a few streets down in the early 90's to head out to go bodyboarding daily, and always laughing the entire day at Zuma. It is tragic to lose you and makes things all too real.
I am sincerely saddened that you were taken so early, and you will be forever missed!
M Brogoitti
Mike, You touched me and changed me in ways no one will never know. I strived to be someone like you...not worried about others opinions, not caring if someone disagreed with you...you were just "Mike Murray" and you were the BEST! You loved "Sunday Fundays" and I will never forget the memories and times I was able to share with you, they meant the WORLD to me. Your friends love you more than you will ever know!! I hope someday I can have your courage, passion, and most of all your HEART! Keep being Mike Murray and I will see you again someday! <3
ReplyDeleteEeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwyyyyyyyyyyyooooooooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteMike, where do I even start.
ReplyDeleteGeoff DeCesari
Mike Murray, you were quite the character. Always creating some type of laughter and keeping us on our toes. You left us too early. It was a pleasure and honor to be assigned to Staff when you were in the Academy.
ReplyDeletePsalm 23 says,
"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
Joseph May, SVPD, Academy Staff 2002-1
I just want to start with my thoughts and prayers to the entire Murray family and friends. I know this is such a trying time and I am confident each person will be stronger.
ReplyDeleteMike,
I will always remember your sense of humor and going out of your way to make sure that the people you were with were comfortable. You always made me and everyone esle around you smile and laugh. And while I did not talk with you every day or even keep in touch over the years, I am feeling this loss and you are not forgotten.
May we all carry out your attitude and outlook on life.
Dan Riggs
Etc., Etc.,
ReplyDeleteThere are few in this world that reach and surpass greatness. And there are even fewer that one can consider a "true" friend. Not one day will pass that I will not reflect on all the times and I know we will reunite some day again.
My god bless as all the way that Mike did with his ways.
Kory Davis "aka Johnny Bravo..Eighties Retro"
Mike,
ReplyDeleteWe didnt know you for very long, but you gave us the most special gift of all, our Grandson Jack Ethan who's smile lights up our hearts like you did for so many others. We see you in him everyday. We are so so lucky to have him in our lives..We will miss you and we will never let Jack forget what a great Father he had.
Vic & Arlene Wood
My heart and prayers go out to all of Mike’s family and friends. A friend, teammate, and the guy with the infectious laugh that makes you smile/laugh out loud randomly days, months and years later. Thank you Mike for being a part of my life, you will be greatly missed but never forgotten!
ReplyDeleteKyle Brazell
Mike will never be forgot, he was so special to so many people. I'll cherish my memories of all the great times we had together. Dancing in staff dining (yes the shopping cart was the best), Vegas & lake trips...just to name a few. Mike lit up the room, everywhere he went, I'll miss him everyday.
ReplyDeleteKatie
Mike,
ReplyDeleteWhat a hard letter to write, life is so unfair and the world lost an absolutely amazing person last week and heaven most definitely gained an angel (a funny one at that)!
The years go by all too quick -
ReplyDeleteLife used to be so simple.
With great sadness,
Jared Wolfson
Mike,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I was able to see you for one last time when Tricia and I ran into you at BJ's over the holidays.
All the best,
Carolyn Burbach
Mike,
ReplyDeleteFrom the first day I met you at the Main Jail, I could tell you were a special person.
Mike Zabarsky
ReplyDeleteI keep reading about how funny Mike was, and that is truly how I remember him too. He was genuine, sarcastic (but kind), and I will miss him.
Thanks for the memories,
Heather Tallent 2002-1
Dear Mike,
ReplyDeleteWe still can't even begin to digest the idea that you are no longer here!
Love,
Gabriel & Shelly
Mike, you will always be remembered. This one is for you buddy...
ReplyDelete"To our friend, present past and beyond
Even though you weren't with us too long
Your life is the most precious thing you
can lose
While you were here the fun was never ending
Laugh a minute only the beginning
Michael Ryan Murray, this one's for you
Ever get the feeling you can't go on
Just remember whose side it is that you're on
You've got friends with you till the end
If you're ever in a tough situation
We'll be there with no hesitation
Brotherhood's our rule we cannot bend
When you're feeling too close to the bottom
You know who it is you can count on
Someone will pick you up again
We can conquer anything together
All of us are bonded forever
If you die I die that's the way it is
To all my friends, present past and beyond
To all those who weren't with us too long
Life is the most precious thing that you
can lose
While you were here the fun was never ending
Laugh a minute was only the beginning
Mike, my brother, this one's for you."

I know I speak for everyone that knew Mike when I say that the world will be less happy without him. What a joy it was to know him and work with him at Body Focus. He was one of the best employees I had and an exceptional person. I am truly saddened but feel blessed to have know him.
ReplyDeleteTo a fallen brother and a family left behind...I have no past history with Mike (We only met a few times)...Only the family we share in law enforcement. I mourn your loss; for your family's sorrow is my own and the disdain of your friends is mine as well. You are honored by those who live on, and who knew you better than I...and with that memory, I honor your life and pray for your family. Go with God, rest in peace and may your family and loved ones soon know joy once again.

Mike,
ReplyDeleteYou were an awesome co-worker.

ReplyDeleteYour friend: Todd Eskridge
I met you at the MJ. I worked just a couple of shifts with you. You were such a nice guy, with a great smile!!!
ReplyDeleteI pray for strength and peace for your family during this difficult time.

Mike,
ReplyDeleteI only got to work with you for a short time at the jail, but in that short period I got to know a great person. You were always alot of fun to work with and made our days/nights alot more enjoyable. May you rest in peace. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike,
ReplyDeleteLike everyone else there are many great memories and laughs. You are missed but you'll never be forgotten! Take care Bro! I'll See you when I get there.
Mike,
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot we can say about all the good times we had with you.

Mike-
We are still trying to wrap our heads around the idea of living in a world without you.
ReplyDeleteGOOD COPS ARE WARRIORS WHO BELIEVE IN THE FOLLOWING........"FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS, YOU ARE GOING TO BE FACED WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE FLEEING EVIL AND DANGER.
Mike Zabarsky
Mike,
ReplyDeleteI remember you fondly from BF and it's unbelievable that you aren't here anymore; you are somewhere else now continuing your journey as we will all be going someday. Forever young, never to grow old....see you someday, somewhere, you were a sweet soul on earth and I'll always remember joking around with you and you could always make anyone smile.

"Mikes,"
ReplyDeleteI have had the privilege of knowing you since high school!
Amy
Mike,
ReplyDeleteWell Mike I never really got a chance to meet you.

LOOK OUT LADIES IN HEAVEN!!! "MIke Murray is here!"
ReplyDeleteI miss you so much bro!
Until we meet again...Godspeed.

Dear Sharon & Steve,
ReplyDeleteIt stopped us cold when we heard about Michael yesterday and we couldn't think of anything but the two of you.
Love & hugs, Kim and Mary Anne
It’s hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of such a well-lived life.
ReplyDeleteMay happy memories carry us all through this sorrowful time.

ReplyDeleteSummer Tanaka Bruford
Mike,
ReplyDeleteI remember like it was yesterday... walking the long way home from junior high just so we could walk past you boys playing basketball!! And those times hanging out in your house, usually cause one of your friends was trying to hook up with one of mine! I enjoyed getting the experience to grow up with you and your family... I will miss you...
Casey Ritchie
To Sharon and Steve:
ReplyDeleteAs I read all the comments from people who have known Mike through the years, it is obvious that the sweet boy we knew many years ago became a wonderful man, much to your credit. I pray that knowledge will give you strength during this difficult time.
Murray,
ReplyDeleteSo pleasant, so professional, so personable, so fun, so happy, so charming, I could go on and on but anyone who knew you, knows all the wonderful words we could use to describe you.I know that when ever I hear the words "Hello Ladies" or the song "Bringin Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake you will be on my mind. You are gonna be missed so much friend. God Bless you and your family.
Mike,
ReplyDeleteYou were one of the good ones that we all wish could have stuck around a little longer. you were one of a kind, thats for sure. things wont be the same without you around. you will be missed by all who knew you.
i always knew it was gonna be a fun shift full of wise cracks like "Menudo" and laughs whenever we worked together and those times will be missed.
My thought and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Farewell bro, Rest easy. Until we meet again.
Jesse Castillo
Mike,
ReplyDeleteI don't even know where to begin except to say that I am thankful for the time we spent together.
Karyn
Mike,
ReplyDeleteI will never forget the first time I ever met you in Las Vegas and of course your famous line was "Hello Ladies." Fate crossed our paths again sometime later when I started working at the MJ and you were on my shift. Such an amazing person, you brought joy to so many people's lives and you always knew how to make us all smile. I will never forget forget you. I know that God needed you by his side and it's a comfort to know that you are up there watching over all of us. Love to you always my friend.
Mike Murray,
ReplyDeleteWell Bro, the Lord is really going to have his hands full now.
Until we meet again,
Ryan Caulfield
Mike,
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy to deal with the fact that you're gone.
Jeramy

ReplyDeleteLoving the body focus representation.
Be seeing you somewhere over the rainbow;-)

Mike was not only one of the nicest, sweatest man i have met, but he was true, he was real he was what everyone dreamed of e real person,a true friend! We didn't hang out everyday day, every week nor every month, but when we did or when i saw him or just heard his voice, my heart pranced with excitement, he always brought a smile not only on his face but yours :) you will be missed so much mike, but we we all see you soon and we will all live our lifes with apart of you in it and thank you for that. with love always ashlee
ReplyDeleteWe remember Mike as a wonderful boy who grew up to be a wonderful man.
ReplyDeleteJim and Karen Malch
LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're a great guy Mike Ryan and I hope you are resting and smiling in the arms of Jesus now.
You have made such an impact on so many people and I know your parents are so proud of you and all your accomplishments.
We'll miss you Mike. Keep smiling my friend!!
Micki Hazz & the fam
Mike,
ReplyDeleteWish I could make one of my many phone calls to you, from the parking lot of the East Valley Station, waking you up and you would be there again.
Till our paths cross again................
Mike,
ReplyDeleteThough we only spent four days together in the 9J41 car, I have learned more from you then you could have ever learned from me.
Not yet."

Mikey Murray,
ReplyDelete"Hello Gorgeous." That's officially your trademark expression with the women.
How you MADE us pull over so you could take a picture with that pig trough that said "honk, honk ee donk..."
Greeting me at Gold's Gym with a genuine smile...
Till we meet again sweet one,
Katherine Phillipson
To Michael's family, our deepest sympathy. Your loss cannot be overestimated. Our memories of Michael,Travis Almquist and our Michael, the summertime "gang of Three" tearing around the neighborhood, playing Masters of the Universe and Army are very tender and dear to us. Michael was a special, sweet, kind child and from what we read, the same as an adult. God be with you Stephanie Steve and Sharon and all the family. We are praying for each of you. Butch and Pam Rose
ReplyDeleteMike,
ReplyDeleteWhere do we begin..
Dear Sharon and Steve,
ReplyDeleteI am deeply grieved to hear the news of MIke's death.
With much love,
Amir Noori
Dearest Steve and Sharon,
ReplyDeleteI am heart broken to hear of your devasting loss. May you find comfort in the memories of such a wonderful child. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family.
With love always, Debbie Vierra
Mike-
ReplyDeleteI am deeply saddened by your sudden death.
I did not know you, but we are brothers. Rest in Peace Brother.

To our loving cousin, Michael,
ReplyDeleteOur grief is deep... because our love for you was great.
Sweet Mikey,
ReplyDeleteYou were so special to me, growing up with my Son Tony,You,Nick and Collin all gave me such fond memories and so much laughter, I was so sad to here of your passing you meant so much to all of us.

ReplyDeleteStacie & Melody Dunford
I'll never forget your drawings and the laughs you brought to our DAR class. You have touched so many and left a lasting impression with all. You have taught us all that life is to short and we should cherish every moment we have. I pray that the Lord's angels have taken you home. I pray that you look down upon us not with sadness but with joy, knowing how many you have touched with your memories. May you rest in peace brother for you will live eternally in our hearts.

Mike Murray,
ReplyDeleteMr.

ReplyDeleteTo My Friend,
ReplyDeleteAs I read through all these amazing tributes and sentiments, I was very moved and happy to see that I was in good company.
Carly Dritz
“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.” ~ Leo Buscaglia
I will always cherish the love, laughter and memories we shared. I have not seen you in a while but you're always in my thoughts and will remain in my heart forever.I will miss you Mikey.
ReplyDeleteMike Murray,
ReplyDeleteYou truely have one of the kindest souls I have ever seen in a person.
Aubany
Mike,
ReplyDeleteWhile we are all grieving and very sad that you are not here with us anymore, I know that you are in heaven looking down and watching over us.
Love Your Friends, Mike ,Jen & Wyatt Davidson
Miko,
ReplyDeleteWhat do I say? How do I say good bye to one my bestfriends? We were going to grow old together and raise our kids together.... This is so hard.... Mike I must say you were such an amazing guy with the most infectious personality. I am so lucky to have had some of the best times of my life with you. I will always cherish those memories forever. I'm sorry I never got to really tell you how much our friendship ment to me. I thought I had the rest of our life to do that. God works in mysterious ways and he has a plan for us all. I will miss you but I'll never forget "mike murray"!!! Save me a spot up there... Love you man,
TB
Dan,
ReplyDeleteSteve, Sharon And Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of our entire family, I want to extend our most sincere condolences over Mike's passing.
Dear Mike,
ReplyDeleteYou are truly one in a million.
Dear Mike,
ReplyDeleteYou will always hold a very special piece of my heart. I just wish I had one last chance to say goodbye and to thank you for all the great memories we shared. I pray everday for strength for your family in this very difficult time. You were truly one of a kind and will forever be in our hearts.
Dear Mike,
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget the first time we met, while out with mutual friends. Love, Elle
Mike,
ReplyDeleteIt took me awhile to write this because I couldn't figure out how to get the words out.
Mike,
ReplyDeleteYour life is an inspiration to us all: Live life to the fullest, no regrets and no holds barred.
ReplyDeleteToo much Charm...Too much Charisma..Too many smiles and so much laughter.
Thanks for letting me fall asleep on your shoulder:)
Until we meet again.....Murray had a little lamb.

Mike,
ReplyDeleteI don't even know where to start...when I got the call I was like no...it can't be you, not Mike Murray.
Always,
Courtney
ReplyDeleteLove You,
Paula
Mike,
ReplyDeleteWe first met when we played baseball together in Little League back in the 80's. You and your family are such wonderful, kind and always happy people. I will carry with me the treasured memories of growing up together, you are indeed one of a kind. We will miss you!
Respectfully,
Josh Casillas
ReplyDeleteI didn't really know Mike that well, but you can tell a lot about a guy by the way he shakes your hand, Mike squeezed the shit out of mine.
ReplyDeleteJake Riley Davis (Kaila's Brother)
May peace be forever
Still missing you Mike
ReplyDeleteI am missing you so much, be happy on your new journey
ReplyDeleteMike Murray,
ReplyDeleteThe little time that I did spend with you was very memorable and fun.
Warmest Wishes,
K~
Still miss you everyday

Misch you mucho!! Life isn't the same without you.
ReplyDeleteI miss your beautiful smile, it has been gone to long!
ReplyDeleteYour picture serves as a reminder everyday how we need to live each day as if it's our last. More importantly, to live large and enjoy it the way you always did.
ReplyDeleteIt is so very hard still, without your beautiful smile bringing happiness to everyone around you
ReplyDeleteIt's been 8 and half months and I still wake up every day thinking about you. I can still picture you and your horrible morning breath waking up next to me. What I wouldn't give to see you again. It's still so hard, I can't believe it to this day. I miss you babe.

Mikey,
ReplyDeleteStill missing you, still think of you! there are days I get lonesome for my friend.
